Mikayla Butchart is an award-winning illustrator, artist, designer, and editor living in Portland, Oregon.

Mikayla received her BA in English from UC Berkeley, where she subsequently taught American literature, and her MFA in Illustration as Visual Essay from the School of Visual Art in New York. She has also studied art, illustration, and design at the California College of Art, the San Francisco Art Institute, and Parsons The New School for Design. 

Clients include Palace Press, The Rumpus, Blue Creek Pictures, The North Bay Bohemian, Free News Projects, Discos Huelga, Pandacide Records, and KQED/NPR, among others.
